About Me

My photo
Ed Rowlands
I was born in Sri Lanka when the country was known as Ceylon, 9 years before Independence, went to College with a multi-cultural group of schoolmates who still get together in reunions whenever I return to the country. I migrated to Australia in 1960 and have had a fabulous life in my adopted country but will always be a Sri Lankan at heart, call Australia home and am privileged to be an Australian Citizen who has contributed greatly to the welfare of it's citizens. The main reason for this document is to try and bring back memories that I temporarily lost in a 1963 motor car accident and to a large degree I have been successful in attaining this objective with the help of research into the events that took place during my life in Sri Lanka and the family photograph album. I am thankful to those persons who have published various articles and photographs, etc on the internet.
